Another AI Challenge

As my wife left the room, she asks my daughter who was also with us in the room to pick her bag and follow her.

Aaliyah shouts back. "Did you want me to bring the (hair) band, is that what you said"?

I was surprised but Aaliyah didn't stop at that "I heard you asking for the bag". But as she knew what the context was that her mother was worried about, she was able to reprocess the information that her brain received through the sound wave in her ears and make conclusion that a (hair) band and not a bag was being asked for.

We can never be sure of what word my wife had actually uttered. She must have wanted the band but might have actually made use of the word 'bag' inadvertently which we both heard. Aaliyah, my daughter was able to reprocess the information she heard with the knowledge of the context that I was oblivious too.

To achieve a processing of this sort through AI would take huge processing power. With some promising technology around, we may remain hopeful.
